  • Vocal description:

    • As Ethan White

      • Typically, Ethan is pretty soft spoken and has a gentle voice. His soft voice made him the target of bullies growing up.

    • As Dr. Entropy

      • In his Dr. Entropy persona, he uses a voice changer to make his voice sound deep and menacing. He specifically designed the modulation to make his voice drip with murderous intent.

  • Personality:

    • As Ethan White

      • To match his gentle voice, Ethan tends to portray himself as a timid soul. Always one to pitch in a kind word when needed, Ethan comes across as genuinely a nice guy until his father, Jacob, dies. After that, Ethan has become incredibly irritable and prone to outbursts of rage, which typically comes in the form of a significant amount of shouting.

    • As Dr. Entropy

      • Dr. Entropy is portrayed as calm, calculated, and unphased by anything. Perpetually five steps ahead of everyone he comes across, he can predict just about every action and even word spoken by everybody, resulting in a tendency to monologue out the thoughts of his company. As a result of all this, Dr. Entropy is arrogant, a trait that he doesn’t mind and feels is justly deserved.

  • General Appearance

    • As Ethan White

      • Ethan looks like the amalgamation of a nerd from the 60’s and a skater. He keeps his blond hair neat and trimmed, wears glasses that he obsessively keeps clean, and has a posture that screams out his lack of confidence. Otherwise, he consistently wears super casual clothes. If it weren’t for his glasses and grooming habits he would look a lot like his cousin Corbin.

    • As Dr. Entropy

      • Dr. Entropy’s outfit is akin to a modernization of the stereotypical medieval plague doctor outfit. He wears black jeans, has tall boots that lace up to a set of buckles, has a nice shirt hidden by a vest, tie, and suit jacket, hides his neck with a beautiful black scarf, and tops it all off with a tophat and menacing gloves. To complete his look, he wears a beaklike mask that houses his voice modulator and a sinister secret.

  • Goals

    • Ethan’s biggest goal has remained largely the same throughout his life, but his motivation for this goal changed after his father’s death. Prior to Jacob’s death, Ethan wanted to give himself super powers, so he endlessly studied the necessary processes needed to develop super powers, going so far as to eventually hack the pentagon in order to read Fuego’s case study. His biggest motivation for this was to help his father in his role as Captain Ultra, but in his own unique way. After Jacob’s death, Ethan is seeking both powers for himself and others under the idea of “if everyone has powers and can stick up for themselves, then nobody has to carry the weight and expectations of the world on their shoulders and die early, like my father.”

  • Inner Conflict

    • Prior to the story starting, Ethan was conflicted about how he could help his father in a world that was getting progressively worse. He was too timid to stand up to others. While still loved immensely by his father, he felt like he was often overlooked in favor of his elder cousin, leading to feelings of resentment. After his father’s death, though, he realized that his timidity held him back and that the time for action had arrived. At this point, a part of him questions his plan and whether or not he’s doing the right thing, but that’s merely an afterthought while he pursues his goal of creating a world where a figure like Captain Ultra is no longer needed.

        • This is the result of an unnoticed mutation related to his father’s powers

      • Probability-based powers

        • Essentially, if he can calculate the probability of something happening, Dr. Entropy can force that thing to happen.

  • Weaknesses

    • His cousin Corbin’s unpredictability

    • The powers of the Captain Ultra ring

  • Quirks/Habits

    • After his father’s death, the slightest thing will set off Ethan and the repressed rage that he’s had for the whole twenty years of his life is starting to show through with his temper.

    • In his Dr. Entropy persona, Ethan makes grand gestures when he talks

    • Dr. Entropy’s body language is centered around hero poses, which is fitting for him since he sees himself as the hero the world needs right now.

  • Quick Bio

    • As the child of Adrian Schulte and Jacob White (pre-transition), Ethan White was born with a mutation due to his father’s use of the Captain Ultra ring and has an intellect that the likes of which have rarely been seen in the world. Ethan had a college reading level from the time that he was six, but his timidity hid a lot of it. Always a quiet kid, one to never complain about anything, Ethan was bullied throughout most of his education, partly due to the fact that one of his fathers was trans, and hid it from the entirety of his family. While at the same middle school, his elder cousin Corbin found out about the bullying and made it a priority to see to the bullies. While initially grateful of Corbin for this, he eventually grew to resent his cousin as it landed him in the good graces of Jacob White and eventually earned the elder cousin the role of successor to the title of Captain Ultra. With his hopes of succeeding his father crushed, he took to studying harder and harder, hoping to develop some way of his own to help his father, eventually landing a full ride scholarship to the University of New Amsterdam to study biochemistry. Having made several breakthroughs in difficult areas within his field, he’s on the verge of creating a serum that could imbue average people with superpowers, largely inspired by the work done on Brandon Crocker to turn him into a super soldier. However, with his father’s death and Ethan grief-stricken, all the elements to create Dr. Entropy finally coalesces as he creates his first prototype for his serum…
