    • Born to Elize White, an art dealer in New Amsterdam, and her now-deceased college boyfriend, Corbin grew up not only surrounded by art, something that influenced his life path, but also in a household that focused on the lessons of “be true to yourself and do the right thing at all times.” Growing up, Corbin was enamored by his aunt in her role as Captain Ultra until he hit the age of 8, which is when she started her transition. From then on, Corbin took after his new uncle and did everything to try to subvert expectations. Aside from his art, he was solidly average in school, despite his relatively high intelligence. Corbin took up the habit of standing up to bullies and other unsavory types while in school, quickly earning his Uncle Jacob’s attention. By the time he graduated college, he was taken under his uncle’s wing and was actively training for a time when a new Captain Ultra was needed, earning the right to attune to the magic ring that’s the source of Captain Ultra’s powers by the time he was 21. By the time the story starts, Corbin has been graduated from college for about a month and is just starting to get serious about applying his arts to the streets of New Amsterdam.
