Nesting Grounds (working title)
An Original Dungeon

Introduction to the idea

The Legend of Zelda and other dungeon crawling series have been massively influential for me as a person, a gamer, and ultimately a developer as well. I’ve been sitting on a desire to actually make a dungeon inspired by those games, but with my own twists and flair for a while now and am finally getting around to doing it now that I’ve graduated from the Guildhall at SMU. My plan (as it stands right now) is to develop a dungeon that could be slotted in to a dungeon crawler and show the process and progress as I work through it. At the time of this writing, there’s little to show save for some pre-production work, but I will be updating this page as I make progress.

Blueprints

Below are some of the more complicated blueprints that I’ve put together for this project. Each page has a brief description of what each blueprint does and includes an interactive render of the blueprint. There’s more to the project than what I’ve listed below, but I’m choosing to highlight some of the stronger blueprints that I’ve put together by myself as opposed to using help from tutorials or currently incomplete actors (such as my enemies).

The Level Itself

I’m not quite to the stage of designing the level itself, but as soon as the tools and building blocks are put together I’ll be getting right to it!
