I was hired on to work on Interactive Objects (or IO’s for short), which was essentially our fancy way of saying any kind of scripting that didn’t involve being on a character actor. As a result, I handled most of the scripting related to how the player interacts with the world and a good portion of the level specific scripting needs for each level. In addition to working on IO’s, I also filled in for a period of time on the Mission Scripting team and learned how to piece together missions. This ultimately enhanced my IO work as it gave me the insight on how to interface with more parts of the team.
Among my specific duties and accomplishments for the Post Launch Content (or PLC’s for short) was putting together the functionality for all of the puzzle gameplay featured in the PLC’s, as well as the big actor that ended up being the core of the reward loop for the season pass on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
